Meagan, you have to be kidding me! My family and I have been vacationing up at Northport, just 10 minutes away from Leland, forever. It truly is a magical place. A couple little fun facts about this area: 1. Tim Allen lives up there, 2. I saw Tim Allen over the 4th of July at Harbor House (a little shop up that serves a combination of ice cream and Northface gear), and 3. Tim Allen, as co-writer of Toy Story, was a fan of a bar in Northport called Woody's. The owner's name was Buzz. That is where he got the character names, Woody and Buzz for Toy Story.
But besides Tim Allen, northern Michigan is a wonderful and beautiful place. I am sad to say that our family is putting our cottage on the market this year, so if anyone is interested....you can hang with Tim Allen.
