LOTM: winter fun

 

besides skiing, there are tons of things to do here in the winter months
my personal fave is snowshoeing.
its a great way to see wildlife while catching some rays on your face.
you can usually rent snowshoes at any outdoor shop for pretty cheap.
so grab your friends, boxed wine, and get shoein'

*locals note: you can get a great deal on rentals at skinny skis

first day of winter.

for me, the first day of winter starts with the first big snow fall
....and ends when the ski resort closes.
its a long one but oh, so beautiful out west.
my favorite time is when it starts to get dark early
and the moon reflects off the snow.
something about it is so peaceful and romantic.

woah, someone must be getting the holiday spirit...

yup, that's snow.
time to get out the chunky sweaters and boots.
