a greenhouse in idaho.

{basil and a butterfly}

my jeffers, the handy man, see here
drove me over the pass into idaho to check out this greenhouse he made.
its been a year and all of the plants are in full bloom and d-lish.
i was beyond impressed and it was pretty dang cute to see him so proud.
we added some of the sweet toppings from the greenhouse onto our pizzas
then popped them into this handmade (not-by-jeff-but-don't-worry-i-put-it-on-the-list) brick-oven.
i'm telling ya, the best za's i've ever had!
click here to see what i wore.

super awesome! My sister and I built a greenhouse a few years ago and are looking to install a fireplace to use for next spring (this spring in Ohio the 80 degree days started in March!)

Yuuumm!! I love wood fired pizza, all the more for fresh, hand picked ingredients. Good work putting an oven like that on the list :P Rhi xx

I'm in awe of folks who live like this. Makes me feel real small living in NYC! :o)

We so desperately want to convert our carport into a greenhouse. It's on the someday list. I'm passing this to my husband (the real gardner in this family!) because these photos are perfect and inspiring!

A greenhouse and an outdoor pizza oven? What more do you really need? This sounds like the ultimate outdoor kitchen!
