around my hood.

{fun new bag my friends brought back for me from mexico, thanks ladies! // flowers are in full bloom}

{hunter wellies weather}

{jeff working on the most gorgeous brickmakers table // osker enjoying the ride}
{one of my favorite old cabins down yonder}
{i mean, just look at them!}
{wellies}
{this rusty old truck reminds me of Mater from Cars.  anyone?}
it seems like over night everything in the valley has turned bright green
the flowers have started to sprout and open!
and i sure do love tulips.
osker and i went on a drive this dreary sunday and snapped some photos.
everything looked so bright and beautiful.
the sun will come out tomorrow (literally) and i have a little photo shoot planned.
can't wait to share with y'all what the egg has been up to.

lotm: off-season projects

one thing i love about jeff is his handy-man skills.
i can't put together a table with instructions from walmart.
i think we're a good team...i come up with the ideas....he executes.
(aka does all the hard work)
but i mean, he's really good at building stuff.
look at this greenhouse he built in idaho from this past summer, click here.
now that the mountain has closed and off-season is here, i've got a lot of ideas (for jeff...)

but to be fair, i have a serious project for myself.
one that will take lots of time, energy, serious concentration!
a kitchen garden.
some of you may laugh, but this girl has the worst green thumb in history.
once, i killed all of the plants at our office.
death by drowning. poor things.

{via}
anyways, it will look like this and we shall have many of dinner nights with fresh herbs sprinkled throughout my gourmet meals.
the end.
or i'll just go to the local farmers market.

mountainista must-haves.

starting next month, most of the country will be twirling around in sundresses.
we mountain ladies on the other hand, will still be bundling up.
while i'm tempted to purchase every new flouncy skirt and pointy heel on the internet,
they will only disappoint and sit in my closet until july.  june if i'm lucky.
therefore, i'm adding some warm(er) spring trends to my mountain-ista closet.
did i just coin that term?
boom.
you heard it here first kids.
