what are your valentine's day plans?

jeff and i recently went on a date to the National Museum of Wildlife Art.

we heard about the current National Geographic American West exhibit and let me tell you,

its pretty amazing.  (even local jimmy chin has a piece hanging!)

for valentine's day, the museum is holding one of their insanely fun Mixed Media events.

this special night is hosted by the incredibly talented design duo of WRJ Designs

so you know it's gonna be fantastic.

the "Legends of Mythology and Love" event will have everything from pink bubbly, greek inspired tapas, signature ouzo cocktails, and even crystal readings!

enjoy food, drinks, and a live DJ while browsing all of the museums current exhibits! 

the event deets:

- 6pm - 9pm at the National Museum of Wildlife Art.

- FREE for museum members; $5 for non-members.

i finished my first half-marathon!
i thought it was going to be painful but it ended up being so much fun.
as you can see from the pic above, the scenery wasn't too shabby.
i was pretty proud of myself considering i have a herniated disc in my back.
i managed to run the whole thing with no backpain!
training works, folks.

congrats to everyone who finished!
especially my bad ass friends who did the FULL.

on saturday my friend's and i ran the old bill's fun run for charity.
still summer here in the hole!

wine fest.

friday was the annual jackson hole wine fest.
my friends and i like to pretend like we know what we are talking about when it comes to vino.
i do, however, know how to ask the vino-pourers to be more generous when it comes to my taste.

and like always, my bestie and i found a random prop to take photos with.

this time it was a private airplane parked in the parking lot.

anyone know who's ride that was?...........cus i think i scratched the wing with my boot.

hot glass. cold beer.

remember when i shared with you that i started glassblowing again? 

well, my little crew of glassblowers and i have been working our little tails off this past month for our Hot Glass. Cold Beer. Party.

we held the party this past friday as a way to introduce the new hot shop to our tiny town.  

everyone who attended received a free beer mug made by us plus free booze all night. 

not too shabby eh?

we flew in 4 glassblowers from seattle who did 2 amazing demos for a very intrigued audience.  

we also held a silent auction for some of the things we've been working on, like the plates below.  

mine was blue and SOLD.  i know, right?  like someone paid a lot of money for it....suckas slash my new favorite anonymous person ever.  (thanks for making me feel awesome)

the seattle crew made a gorgeous redwood tree and one bad ass cowboy.

a huge thank you to all of my amazing friends who showed up to support!
